What do you eat before a game?
I eat pasta. I don't actually eat much on the day of the game. Breakfast and then lunch, but smaller portions. Just before leaving I have an omelette and that's it.

What was your favourite food when you were a kid?
I really liked Mafé, which is a [peanut stew] dish from Mali, where my parents are originally from.

I start off with eggs and orange juice in the morning. Then it's just pasta and water in the afternoon, and fruit as a dessert. It gets me fully loaded and ready.

It was a Senegalese dish, called Thiéb – rice, vegetables and meat.
