Bellingham boot camp

Adidas

Jude Bellingham caught the eye once again for Real Madrid against Napoli last month, and not just for another Player of the Match display and a headed goal in the 4-2 win. The England midfielder was debuting the new Predator 30, a special-edition release to celebrate three decades of the iconic boot. As shown off by the Madrid No5, the Predator 30 revives the range’s beloved foldover tongue, while also featuring a softer feel and inbuilt rubber fins. Only 1,994 pairs will be released, referencing the year of the first Predator, but if they’re good enough for Jude…

Special spruce up

José Mourinho

Roma coach José Mourinho recently invited body artist Alberto Marzari to Giallorossi HQ for some ink maintenance. The Portuguese proudly wears a tattoo of the three European trophies he has won (Champions League, UEFA Cup/Europa League and Conference League) and Marzari gave the colours a freshen-up. Tattoos in the dugout are becoming more common every season, albeit more subtle than those favoured by players. As for José, displaying trophies, polishing medals and now sprucing up tattoos: who said being successful was easy?

Adidas

Drawing inspiration from the German champions’ popular third kit, adidas’ FC Bayern 23/24 LFSTLR Jersey makes the transition from elite on-field performance to eye-catching street style appear, ahem, seamless. The off-white T-shirt makes a bold statement from afar with its chunky collar, distinctive dark-red logo and fashion-conscious fit. Yet up close it reveals a softer side with subtle detailing. Not content with looking the biz, the premium shirt’s double-knit polyester is made with 100% recycled materials. Head over to the competitions page to find out how you can win one of these.

Grammys

Spanish legend and serial winner Sergio Ramos knows his way around an awards ceremony, but it was his job to hand out a prize for once at the Latin Grammys in November. The glitzy show took place in his home city Seville, and the music-loving defender was a natural choice to grace the stage. The four-time Champions League winner presented Colombian chanteuse Shakira with the Song of the Year award for her collaboration with Argentinian DJ Bizarrap. Having conquered football, is the 37-year-old planning to tackle a career in the music business?

We’re looking for fans to report on their teams on the road to Wembley

Fancy writing or vlogging about your team? Well, now’s your chance. We’re looking for a fan from every team in the last 16 of this season’s Champions League to report about their side for Champions Journal during the knockout stage.

To enter, you need to write a story of 400 words or less about your team or send us a short vlog. Maybe tell us why you began supporting them, or their most memorable Champions League match you’ve seen live. Perhaps it’s memories of a favourite player, your matchday routine, your club’s best chant or your all-time favourite kit. What we don’t want is a straight match report. Go beyond the 90 minutes – and make sure it gets to us by 26 January 2024.

Our 16 winners will have their pieces published on our website, while the best could be published in the magazine. You will then file content from the home leg of every game your team plays until they are knocked out, with each of those also being showcased on our homepage.

Our 16 winners will receive:

- Two tickets to the home leg of their team’s semi-final (if they get that far)

- Subscription to Champions Journal and a free Champions League final programme

- Champions Journal T-shirt
